St. Mary’s School
Professional Staff
St. Mary’s School is blessed and privileged to
have a very dedicated staff of men and women
who go beyond the call of duty
to help the students achieve
their greatest academic potential.
All are certified educators in the State of Ohio.
Mrs. Megan Brickner
mbrickner@ls.noacsc.org
Mrs. Brickner has the great pleasure of introducing
the letters of the alphabet and numbers to her
kindergarten students. They have a lot of fun. You
can tell they love school. What a great way to begin
their elementary school years.
Mrs. Denise Lauf
dlauf@ls.noacsc.org
Mrs. Lauf spends her days helping the children
of Grade One read, write and calculate. It is a
joy to walk down the hallways and read the
stories her students write. They are eager to
learn and share.
Mrs. Cynthia Ricker
cricker@ls.noacsc.org
Grade 2 is an exciting room to be in with Mrs.
Ricker. She will be continuing the basic
reading, writing, and calculating skills of Grade
1. She will also be preparing her students for
the Sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation.
Mrs. Mary Schroeder
mschroeder@ls.noacsc.org
Grade 3 will be in a self-contained classroom
this year and will have the privilege of having
Mrs. Schroeder as their teacher. This is a big
“step” year between Grade 2 and Grade 4. It
is a year of “growth spurts” in both Reading and
in Math.
Miss Connie Niese
cniese@ls.noacsc.org
Miss Niese will be teaching Math to Grades
4-8 this year. It is so encouraging to see the
students get excited about numbers. They
amaze themselves! Miss Niese also teaches
Reading and Social Studies to Grade 4 and
Health and Art to Grade 7.
Mrs. Sarah Pester
spester@ls.noacsc.org
Mrs. Pester is our eighth grade homeroom
teacher. She will be teaching Language Arts
to the students in Grades 4-8; Social Studies
in Grade 8; Reading in Grades 5-8; and
Health and Art to Grade 4. We await great
writing from our students this year.
Mrs. Deborah Barney
dbarney@ls.noacsc.org
Grade 5 & 6 will be in Mrs. Barney’s homeroom.
Mrs. Barney teaches Reading and Language
Arts to Grades 5 - 8 and Social Studies to
Grades 5, 6, & 7. She also teaches Religion to
Grades 5 & 6 and Health and Art to Grades 3, 5
and 6.
Mrs. Laura Schroeder
lschroeder@ls.noacsc.org
Mrs. Schroeder is our seventh grade homeroom
teacher. She teaches Science to the students in
Grades 4 – 7. Experimenting is the name of the
game on most days in her classes. There is
definitely a “hands on” approach. She also
teaches Religion to Grades 4, 7 and 8 and
Health and Art to Grades 5, 6 and 8.
Mr. Scott Knueven
sknueven@ls.noacsc.org
Students in Grades K – 8 are privileged to have
a licensed musician for their instructor. We are
blessed to have Mr. Knueven lead us in song
and accompaniment for our Wednesday allschool Masses. This year he also is teaching keyboarding
and public speaking to Grades K-8. Scott is a graduate of
St. Mary’s School!
Mr. Chris Ireland
Theirelandfamily@att.net
Mr. Ireland teaches Physical Education to our
students in Grades K – 8 on Mondays and
Tuesdays. He also monitors the playground
and lunch hour activities on Mondays and
Tuesdays. Mr. Ireland is often one of our
faithful substitute teachers.
Mrs. Deb Ellerbrock
dellerbrock@ls.noacsc.org
Deb works at St. Mary’s School as our Auxiliary
Services Program clerk. She does a great job of
keeping all our book orders in order. We treasure her
presence in our midst.
Mrs. Andrea Maidlow
lp_maidlow@lp.noacsc.org
Andrea is a graduate of St. Mary’s School and
is coming back this year as an Intervention
Specialist. She will be helping our students for
about ninety minutes each day.
Sister Mary PaulenA!
pwilliams@ls.noacsc.org
We are very fortunate to have Sister Mary Paulena on our
school staff this year. Sister is very adept at helping the
primary teachers with students who need educational
assistance. She works very closely with Mrs. Maidlow.
Sister also assists in the primary classrooms periodically.
Mrs. Nancy Brinkman
nbrinkman@ls.noacsc.org
Everyone loves to come to the office for that
special TLC touch they receive from our school
secretary. Mrs. Brinkman keeps us all on our toes
and makes sure the school is running smoothly
each day. Students love to come to the office for
that special peppermint treat.
